Building More with Less

The project begins with discipline. Working within a limited capital budget, the design focuses on what is essential to keep transit running. Maintenance, operations, and administrative functions are organized into a compact, efficient arrangement that reduces waste and supports clear daily workflows. A pre engineered steel building anchors the site, supported by fueling and wash structures, creating a durable and adaptable framework that meets immediate needs while leaving room to grow.

A Durable and Welcoming Presence

The architecture expresses its purpose with clarity while making space for identity. Corrugated and flush metal panels define strong, utilitarian forms built for long term performance, while carefully placed openings introduce light and connection. At the entry, a wood vestibule offers a moment of warmth, marking the transition from working yard to shared space and reinforcing the facility’s role as both workplace and civic asset.

Built for the Long Haul

This is infrastructure designed to endure. By aligning design decisions with operational priorities, the project extends the value of every investment and supports the people responsible for delivering service day in and day out. The result is a facility that does its job with quiet confidence, strengthening Jefferson Transit’s ability to serve its community now and into the future.
